Marine Biodiversity Workshop
On Monday, we had a Heritage schools visitor who came to Howe’s strand to give a workshop on Marine Biodiversity. First the children got to see some of the creatures that are living in the rockpools of Howe’s strand. We got to see a green shore crab, periwinkle and a blenny fish.
Next the children went on a beach safari- searching for shark eggs on the beach.
Finally, they did a search for seashells on the beach. The children found and named many different types of seashells. The children had great fun and learned so much from workshop.
