Bee Bots

The Junior Room really enjoyed playing with the Bee Bots over the past two weeks. Bee Bots are small programmable robots that introduce children to the concept of creating simple programs. Children learn about early coding and computing skills as well as problem solving and team work.

The class did lots of different activites using the Bee Bots such as progamming the Bee Bots to get through a maze & playing games of snakes and ladders. The children worked in pairs to program two Bee Bots at the same time so the Bee Bots were moving in sync.

We used the Bee Bots to help us with maths addition and subtraction. The children also worked in groups to give directions on the road map.

Finally, the class created their own games to play with the Bee bots.

To finish the fortnight we had a race with the Bee Bots. Great fun was had by all!
