Maths in the sun

The children in the Junior Room have been having lots of fun learning all about our measures strands outside.

The children were given a list of all the wild Pokémon they needed to find.

The children had to measure each Pokémon three times using non standard units- cubes, chains and dominos. The children were so excited to find and measure all the Pokémon.

The children also had lots of fun learning all about capacity. We estimated and measured the capacity of different containers. We explored which containers held the most amount of water and the least amount of water.
