Lá fhéile Bríde

Lá fhéile Bríde at last. On the eve of St Brigid’s day (the 31st of Jan)we collect the rushes (from Inchydoney Island) and clean them, measure them and weave them. We were delighted again with some of the crosses.

Some find this pinch and turn clockwise technique very tedious but if they have patience and take their time (with a steady hand) they usually get there in the end.
