Gurraneasig National School Open Day - Tuesday 21st January 2.30pm

We are opening our doors for anyone who would like to come and see our school. We are an inclusive and diverse school, set in an idyllic location. With 60 pupils and 5 teachers (1 SNA and 1 teaching Principal) we have a healthy teacher pupil ratio that allows the school to consistently score in the top 10% nationally for academic achievement.

Being located close to Howe Strand the school enjoys unusual access to nature and the sea, for everything from nature walks, research projects to art projects. We have a beautiful sensory garden where the kids feed birds and grow vegetables, they can use this space to get some quiet time to read. We are an active school and as such there is an emphasis on movement, which means there is a lot of activity in the form of play ball, table tennis, spike ball, athletics, tennis and in the summer term the older classes enjoy surf lessons. And of course lets not forget the academics, which are bolstered by school iPads, a library and an art/science room.
