Dear Parents,

Senior Room Flooring:

Carpet has been removed from Senior Room floor, marmoleum has now been installed. The Board will review the needs of the Resource Classroom in Spring 2020.

Policies:

The next Policy to be reviewed is Dignity at Work Policy. Any submissions are to be sent to the PA by May 13th.

Sciath na Scol:

Gaelic Football Blitz took Wednesday 8th May. All of Senior Room went to Clonakilty. Thank you to the Parents who gave up their time to drive.

School Closures – Summer Term:

Please note the school will be closed for;

  • Friday May 31st to​ ​Monday 03rd June 2019 incl ​for June Public Holiday.
  • School will finish for the Summer Holidays on ​Friday June 28th @ 12noon.
Coastguard Helicopter:

Regrettably the Coastguard Helicopter visit to Kilbrittain village pitch has been deferred until a future date.

Tusla Information:

Attached letter “Important Information for Parents and Guardians in relation to School Age Childcare” from Childcare Ireland is passed for your information.

Relationships & Sexual Education Programme - Workshop

Sarah Sproule (​http://www.adaptlife.ie/family.html​) will facilitate a Parents Workshop on RSE for the parents of 4th, 5th & 6th class pupils on Monday 13th May. She will facilitate a Pupils Workshop for RSE for 5th & 6th class pupils on Tuesday 14th.

Heritage in Schools.

The Middle room have been selected for a free visit with ​Heritage in Schools Expert Áine Brosnan. They will be visiting Timoleague Abbey .

Text-a-Parent App:

The School uses Textaparent.ie to send out school texts. This is a free App which is available for both Apple & Android devices. Use of their free App by parents will make more financially efficient use of our school credit. If you don’t have a smartphone or cannot download the app, you will still receive school texts in the usual manner.

Term Costs:

Please note the summer term costs of €45 are now due. It would be much appreciated if payment could be made to the office or contact the office to pay by EFT.
