Big beach clean up

Today the school went to Howe Strand to do a big beach clean up. With Dinny Wheeler’s help and guidance a trash tree was built from old nets and drift wood that were found on the clean up.

The main intention for this is that other beach users will be encouraged to keep the beach clean. Ecobricks are hung from the tree, where smaller bits of plastic can be gathered, stopping them from getting into the water and damaging the sealife.
